Grand Launching of Islamonweb Assamese Edition

Kalgachia, Barpeta witnessed the grand inauguration of the Islamonweb Assamese web portal on Saturday, December 2, organized by the Mission Soft Foundation. The event, blending both virtual and in-person participation, marked a significant stride in expanding the platform's reach for online education and enlightenment, aiming to engage a broader audience.

 The Editor-in-Chief of Islamonweb Assamese, Abdur Rouf Faruki, led the event, graced by the presence of Moulana Zahidul Islam, President of Barpeta District Kabi Sanmilan (Poet Conference), who inaugurated the event. Sayyed Rasheed Ali Shihab Thangal, Chairman of Islamonweb, officially launched the Assamese edition online, underscoring the platform's journey since its establishment in Malayalam in 2010. This expansion reflects the ongoing commitment to disseminate Islamic teachings across diverse cultures and languages in India, with Thangal expressing hopes for the Assamese edition's success, seeking the blessings of Almighty Allah for their endeavors.

Faisal Niyaz Hudawi, CEO of Mission Soft Foundation, introduced Islamonweb Assamese through an informative online presentation. Dr. Iftikhar Ali Ahmed, Managing Director of Fakharuddin Ali Ahmed Academy, Kalgachia, shed light on the contributions of Muslims to Assamese language and literature.

 Maulana Abdul Hameed, a literate and poet, provided a thoughtful analysis of the website, emphasizing Islam's peaceful nature. He underscored the platform's role in connecting and educating people, urging the sharing of Islamic knowledge within communities. Maulana Abdul Hameed also highlighted Islam's advocacy for both men and women's education, discussing Muslims' contributions to India's freedom struggle and various societal fields, emphasizing the importance of teaching Islam to students and children.

Abdul Barique Khan, Managing Director of Kalgachia Public School, stressed the significance of Islamonweb in Assam, especially for the Muslim minority. He noted the lack of awareness about Islam in Assam and highlighted the portal's potential to provide knowledge and awareness to both Muslims and non-Muslims about Islam and its teachings.

Abdul Sattar Ahmed, a writer, delved into the benefits and advantages of Islamonweb's launch, while Abdul Majed Ahmed, State Executive Member of Assam Kabi Sanmilan, emphasized the necessity of Islamonweb in Assamese society. He concluded his remarks with a poetic recitation related to the program.

Habel Uddin, an illiterate poet, captivated the audience with a heartfelt recitation of an Islamic song (naat) dedicated to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Abutar Hussain, a singer, echoed the sentiments by reciting a naat on Bilal and his Azan, underscoring the pivotal role of Islamonweb Assamese for the Muslim community in Assam.

Muhammad Saifuddin, a BSc graduate, drew attention to the challenges faced by Indian Muslims despite the country's secular ideals. He emphasized the need for constructive Muslim responses and actions. The event concluded with heartfelt words of gratitude from Abdur Rouf Faruki, the Editor-in-Chief of Islamonweb Assamese.
