The Ongoing Conflict in Gaza: Unveiling the Untold Realities

Being a human, killing humans deliberately could only be attributed to the psychopathic mindset of the killer. And the question arises how a human-being can dare destroy another human being no matter what ethnicity he belongs to? The ethnicity of Muslims in Palestine extended helping hands to the persecuted Jews community of the world to accept them with shared residency and shared nationhood at a time when the entire European world including Natzis’ Germany had kicked them off around 1930s to 1950s.[1] At that exact point of time, when Jews were at dire need for humanitarian assistance, there was none, by the name of USA, UK, Germany or France, ready to share their nationality with these persecuted Jews people. It was the Arab Palestinian, the kind people who showed them all mercy and sundry sympathy sharing the roofs to them. While, in the recent time, Israel’s Defense Force is mercilessly killing thousands of Palestinians not sparing the life of even innocent children, infant babies and fetus in the womb of pregnant mothers, rather bombed them apart. Ethnographically, the Oxford Thesaurus produces the predominant meaning of “ethnic cleansing” as “the policy of forcing the people of a particular race or religion to leave an area of a country”. In the current context, Israeli Defense Force in line with Netanyahu Administration forcing the Palestinian minor people of Muslim ethnicity to leave their own nation by inhumanely uprooting their residents, shelling their youths and bombing their sinlessly innocent children not sparing even the patients in Hospitals like they did with ‘Al-Shifa Hospital’.[2]

Historically, it may possibly be assumed that perhaps this is why the last powerful Sultan of Ottoman Empire, Abdul Hamid II had denied the demand for a Jews nation in-and-around Palestine while Theodor Harzel, the founder of “Jews State Ideology” once protested. And this is why Sultan Abdul Hamid II had, in return, offered him and his prosecuted community of the world that they can choose any land under the then Ottoman Empire as their own “Jews Nation” except the “land of Palestine”. But it is the British Empire and her minister Arthur Balfour who made a historically landmark mistake by offering the Declaration of a Jews State in Palestine itself to jews capitalist Baron Edmond de Rothschilds in 1917 if he and his rich Jews community economically help them destroy the Ottoman Empire and other minor states in World War I. at the end by singing the two-state solution on the table of UN in 1948, Britain didn’t hesitate being mother of all disputes between Palestine and Israel.[3] As a result, Palestinian minor people are prone to homeless lives, motherless children, fatherless daughters, foodless plates, waterless taps and tanks, medicineless hospitals, teacherless schools, ragless winter, shadeless summer, and grainless springs. None of the universe could be ever able to justify this horrific silence of the world against this gruesome occupation of Israel making the Arabs out.

Why United States of America is calmly silent against the brutal killings of children, old age and minor women in Gaza? Where is that so-called humanitarianism that USA always hypocritically advocated? Is not mass-killing of minor innocent children of Gaza gruesome war crime? Where is the International Court of Justice that once prosecuted Saddam Hussain and Aung San Suu Kyi? Has that court lost Its justice behind the ambush of Israeli Administration? Is this a real war or execution of a USA-Israel plan of digging deep a trading canal other than Suez?

Hamas-Israel War

Hamas is an Islamic organization that advocates the national interest of Palestinian people. It is an Arabic name which is said as “Harkat Al-Muqawama Al-Islamia” which was formed as a small off-shoot under the worldly renowned Egyptian organization, Muslim Brotherhood called ‘Ikhwan Al-Muslimoon’ in Arabic that was founded by Hassan Al-Banna in 1928. Somehow, Hamas was founded by Muslim Brotherhood Palestine Chapter Leader Sheikh Ahmad Yassein in 1987 to compete Muslims’ interest against Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) launched in 1964 having Yasser Arafat as an astute leader active since 1967 aiming at liberating Palestine land from the venomous claws of Israelite Jews Occupation. Both of them were borne to defend Palestine interest but one is supposed to be hostile to other. Initially, Hamas was hugely funded by Israeli extremist leaders to fight Muslims’ interest against Yasser Arafat because he was being known to have secured much popularity among Palestinians and PLO Movement was getting powerful in garnering support against Israel.[4]

After first ‘Intifada’, which began in 8 December 1987 to 13 September 1993, both of these parties Hamas and PLO was seen gaining formidable support of the people. Israel chose to play ‘Divide and Ruel Policy’ game so as she funded Hamas against PLO. According to the former Republican Congressman, Ron Paul, Israel is the backing that provided initial strategy of supporting Hamas to weaken the PLO which later resulted in the intensification of resistance against Israel and not the Israel’s desired weakness. In the ahead, Ron Paul officially accepted in front of the Floor of the House quoting “Hamas was encouraged and really started by Israel because they wanted Hamas to counter Yasser Arafat”.[5] Going swiftly on, then PLO Chief Yasser Arafat reported an Italian Press that “Hamas is a creature of Israel”. According to New York Times, the Brigadier General and the Israel Military Governor to Gaza in early 1980s, Yitzhak Segev admitted funding Hamas himself with Israeli taxpayers’ money.  Moreover, even the ex-Prime Minister of Israel, Yitzhak Rabbin confessed quoting Hamas creation as a “Fatal Error”.[6]

As per the recent scenario of middle east, Israel is incapable to taking over their then-backed Hamas. In the current Hamas-Israel war that broke out in 7th October 2023, Israel killed more than 28,000 innocent Palestinian civilians wherein more than 10000 are sinless children. Verily, the IAF, Israeli Air Force has succeeded in vandalizing the northern Gazan residents, academic institutions including Schools, Colleges and Universities and even Hospitals. Reportedly, Israel easily managed to perpetuate war crimes dropping more than 25,000 tonnes of nuclear bombs as of now. Mathematically, this huge amount of 25,000 tonnes of nuclear bombs is much greater compared to the 15,000 tonnes of nuclear bombs dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. And the most ironic and shameful joke of the year is they could succeed in killing only 160 out of 40,000 Hamas warriors. Here the world is thoroughly perplexed and want to make it clear that whether the Israeli Armies are fighting their enemy Hamas or executing their long-cherished plan of cleansing the ethnicity of Palestine Muslims for bagging their geopolitical gain; a giant question mark ‘?’ [7]

Oceanic Hegemony; Suez Canal and Arab Gulfs

In a historical perspective, as the world grappled with the aftermath of World War I and II, the universal consensus emerged that engaging in wars yielded little gain but inflicted substantial losses. This understanding led to a global division into two blocs: the USSR-backed communist nations and the USA-backed democratic nations. This era became known as the "Bipolar World," marked by the Cold War, a war of ideological influence where the USA supported democracy and capitalism, and the USSR advocated communism and socialism. This influence was termed "Hegemony," denoting the control exerted by one country or organization over others within a specific group.[8]

The Suez Canal, the largest man-made canal globally, connects the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, serving as a crucial center for global trade routes. Approximately 12% of global trade and 30% of global container traffic traverse this canal, carrying goods and services worth over $1 trillion USD annually.[9] Recognizing its strategic importance, the second President of Egypt, Gamal Abdel Nasser, made the landmark decision to nationalize the Suez Canal Company in 1956, leading to geopolitical tensions with major powers like France, Britain, and the US. The Suez Crisis, also known as the Suez Canal War, ensued, culminating in a UN-brokered agreement where the US committed to paying $1.5 billion annually to operate and control the canal. Egypt currently earns around $9.4 billion annually from the Suez Canal, underscoring the success of the US in establishing hegemony in the Mediterranean and Red Sea regions.[10]

In contrast, the Gulf of Arab hosts the small country of Eritrea, housing "Dhalak Island." Israel, recognizing the geopolitical significance of the Arab world, established its "largest foreign military base" on Dhalak Island. Adjacent to Eritrea is Djibouti, strategically positioned to monitor global oceanic trade through the Red Sea. Countries such as Germany, Japan, Italy, France, the US, Saudi Arabia, and China, in pursuit of Oceanic Hegemony, have deployed heavy military bases in the Babul Mandab Strait of Djibouti. This deployment aims to monitor the Houti Community of Yemen, a pro-Palestine private military organization. Additionally, foreign military bases occupy the Socotra Island, annexed by the UAE from Yemen, and the "Hormuz Strait" of Gulf Countries. A report indicates that the USA has established 40 military bases across the Gulf islands and nations, solidifying its hegemonic influence over the Middle East.[11]

US-Israel Arbitrariness

Connecting the anecdotes, the United States of America feels the heavy burden of paying $1.5 billion of American taxpayers' money to the government of Egypt for the Suez Canal. Reportedly, they have considered the construction of an alternative canal, starting from Eilat City in Israel, passing through the Dead Sea, slicing the Gaza Strip, and ending in the Mediterranean Sea. However, a significant obstacle to this plan is the large population of 2.3 million people in the Gaza Strip. Without relocating them, executing the new canal plan is deemed nearly impossible.[12]

According to the work “Going to the Wars” penned down by the famous historian Max Hastings, the current Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netinyanyahu once told him in an interview, “He would succeed in three things” quotes “the first, Arabs out of Palestine, the second, Clear West Bank and the third, Sort Out Jerusalem”.[13]

Movig on,  In 1986, President Joe Biden, then a senator, argued in a debate over a vote to override Presidential veto power of arms sale to Saudi Arabia, stating: "there is no apology to be made, none, it’s the best $3 billion investment we make, where there is not an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect her interest in the region, the United States would have to go out and invent an Israel."[14]

Considering these notable remarks made by the great powers of the world, an intellectual is compelled to argue that whether the U.S. is supporting Israel so as they could safeguard their so-called right to self-defense or the U.S. is herself protecting her own interest in the region, as President Biden once argued in the Senate in 1986, by providing arms and ammunition to Israel which is causing mass destruction of innocent Palestinians, with the death toll surpassing 14,800 lives, including 5,850 children. Is this a war against Hamas fighters to protect the Israeli rights to self-defense or a planned genocide against civilians to protect U.S.-Israel interest in the region?

Conclusion

Despite the unambiguously clear image of arbitrariness exhibited by the U.S. and Israel, the world shows no hesitation in acknowledging the featured attributes of remaining silent against arbitrary ethnic cleansing and cold-blooded genocide of Palestinians. A few world leaders, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, have officially denounced U.S.-backed Israeli attacks on Gazan civilians, instead of Hamas, as an act of "Pathetic Genocide."S

When discussions arise about implementing an oil embargo against the U.S. and Israel, questions emerge regarding why Arab countries hesitate to launch such measures. Feasibly, this task is not overly difficult, but achieving unity among all 57 OIC states seems challenging without the consent of Arab nations such as Saudi Arabia, Egypt, UAE, and Jordan, especially evident in the recent Arabs' Oil Embargo Resolution in the Arab-OIC summit held in Riyadh.

The focus of dialogue and discussion should shift from the resistance of Arab nations to sanctions like 'Oil Embargo' or 'Egypt’s Suez Canal Shutdown.' Instead, it should pivot towards the accountability of the world's major veto countries (Russia, China, USA, UK, France), including all other veto member countries. When a minor country like Palestine or any ethnic group like Islam faces persecution through mass-destructive nuclear weapons, it is the UN's authority vested with the power to intervene in any war that kills masses.

While it might be argued that Hamas made a mistake by initiating the attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, it is never justified to argue that mass destruction, civilian deaths, ethnic cleansing, and nuclear demolitions against innocent lives in Palestine are justifiable.

Hypothetically, if an aggressively protesting minor pelts stones at an administrative force, whether police or army, it does not warrant the force to retaliate by shelling them to death. However, the U.S.-backed Israel, with zero hesitance, perpetuates serious war crimes by killing thousands of Palestinian civilians, satisfying their frustration at being unable to tackle Hamas warriors. Out of 40,000 Hamas fighters, Israel only succeeded in killing 160 as of the latest data, while causing the deaths of more than 28,000 civilians, including 10,000 Palestinian children as of February 10, 2024. This cannot be considered fair in the world of democracy, in the presence of the UN, and history will remember this gruesome pogrom as a shameful black spot on the white wall of U.S.-UN-advocated democracy.
