The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation and the Lethal Traps Concealed in Food Aid

In a land where people have endured nearly a century of unrelenting siege, the sequence of violence unfolds in a familiar yet brutal pattern: first, unleash bombardment upon the starving; then, drive out or eliminate the United Nations personnel and international charity workers who attempt to offer aid. Finally, donning the guise of "angels of mercy," present food parcels and relief supplies laced with hidden death traps.

Naturally, the response of a starving population, deprived of basic sustenance, is to lunge toward these aid parcels and water bottles in desperation. When 80% of the population teeters on the edge of famine and total destitution, the scenario becomes not just dire but unspeakably tragic.

Eventually, the very people who stretch out their hands for a drop of water, a piece of bread, or a capsule of medicine are gunned down in cold blood. If anyone dares to ask why, the justification is framed in the deceptive vocabulary of "crowd control." But even that doesn't matter anymore, whether people ask or not, the silence of a world that has turned away from Gaza’s hunger for nearly a century ensures that such atrocities rarely gain media attention or moral urgency.

This is the explicit and implicit mission of the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF)—an American-Israeli joint operation formed under the pretense of aid but serving a far more sinister goal.

The foundation was launched in February 2025, jointly established by the United States and Israel. Ostensibly humanitarian in its orientation, its covert objective is to dismantle Hamas’s political, social, and military infrastructure in Gaza while offering Israel a mask of benevolence to present to the international community.

Initially, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu denied any connection between Israel and GHF. However, after persistent questioning in the Knesset by opposition leaders, he was recently forced to admit the affiliation, an admission the world watched unfold.

At the beginning of this latest phase of the occupation, Israel urged residents in northern Gaza to relocate to the south, under the guise of safety and food availability. Hamas had already expressed suspicion that this was a ploy to facilitate mass displacement and carry out more brutal acts of ethnic cleansing under the cover of humanitarian assistance. Analysts argue that this strategy not only aids Israel in pushing toward its territorial objectives but also enables the execution of massacres with increased efficiency and reduced international backlash.

Moreover, reports indicate that Yasser Abu Shabab, a known criminal in Gaza considered a "traitor" by both Hamas and the general population, has been armed and financed by Israeli forces. This effort is seen as an attempt to create a parallel militia to Hamas, fostering internal divisions and weakening the resistance from within, another layer in the Zionist regime’s multi-pronged strategy of occupation and control.

In Gaza, a narrow coastal strip measuring 40 kilometers, Palestinian fishermen are only permitted to venture four nautical miles out to sea. Beyond that line lies the threat of being shot on sight. Despite the theoretical proximity to places like Greece and Cyprus, this restriction effectively traps the population.

Meanwhile, UNRWA, the UN agency most deeply involved in relief work in Gaza for decades, has been officially designated as a "terrorist organization" by Israel. This rebranding appears to serve one goal: to delegitimize all forms of genuine humanitarian intervention, clearing the way for GHF to operate unchallenged as Israel’s whitewashed instrument of control.

Since May 27, the date of GHF’s operational commencement, nearly 500 civilians have reportedly been shot dead while standing in line for food. Even more shocking is Israel’s open admission that it has provided weapons to Yasser Abu Shabab, who is also confirmed to be a former ISIS operative, a fact acknowledged by Israel’s former Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman himself.

As long as the world continues to close its eyes, Israel will persist in executing the starving for the crime of seeking a handful of flour. They may offer food and water, but only to bait the trap. Yet, even with stones tied to their shrunken bellies, the newborn children of Gaza will continue to declare:
